GOLD MEN, RESISTANTS FOR THE EARTH
The Goldman Prize is an equivalent of a Nobel Prize for environment. For twenty years, it goes to people, who protect natural resources of their country. Sebastien Viaud is a young French teacher who decided to go through incredible adventure: to travel for a whole year, all over the world, in order to meet those who obtained that famous prize. He wants to understand how those ordinary people succeeded to lead an extraordinary struggle. Thus, he wants to feel «the green pulse of the earth».

Cyril Peyramond (b. 1971, Lyon, France)
After graduating from a cinema school in Paris, 22-year-old Cyril became the programme planner at Cinéma Jeanne Mourguet in Ste-Foy-lès-Lyon (Hall of Arts and Trials, considered one of the most active ones in Lyon and its agglomeration). He founded La Caravane des Cinémas d'Afrique festival, and later worked with Cinéma Toboggan in Décines and Cinéma Duchère in Lyon. In 2000, he made his first feature short, The Soil, starting his effective collaboration with Laurent Segal and his Kanari Films. Afterwards Peyramond put aside feature filmmaking to make dozens of documentaries. Gold Men: Resistants for the Earth is his first feature length work.
