Samuel Lucas Allen is an award winning emerging filmmaker with an MA in Directing from NIDA. They have been nominated for a Robin Anderson Film Award, a London Director Award, Best Director at Sanford International Film Festival, Best Music Video and Best Experimental at the ATOM Awards, and Best Director at CinefestOz. They won Best Short Director at the Kansas Arthouse Film Festival and Best Short Film Fiction at the Buenos Aires International Film Festival. Their latest film, Misery and Other Choices, won Best Environmental Short at the Lunigiana Cinema Festival and the Scenario Award at the Universal Film Festival Samothraki.
