This October, Yerevan is going to get a little wild.
As part of the SunChild International Environmental Festival, the Animal Masquerade Parade will bring the streets of central Yerevan to life, as people of all ages dress up as endangered animals and plants and come together to celebrate Armenia’s rich biodiversity.
But there’s one important rule:
Your costume must be created using waste and already-used materials, such as paper, fabric, plastic, metal, and anything else you can give a second life to. ♻️
You can be:
🐻 a bear
🐆 a leopard
🦅 an eagle
🦋 a butterfly
🐢 a turtle
🌸 or even a plant that everyone should know about.
You can also create a biodiversity-themed sign to accompany your animal.

This isn’t a competition to see who can create the most beautiful costume.
It’s a day when we can create, reuse, and speak a little louder for nature in the heart of the city.
