The Peace Park Art Project is an exciting public art project organized on the territory of Yerevan Zoo. The organizers of SunChild 3rd International Environmental Festival invite artists from Armenia and abroad to get together to create sculptures, objects, and installations on the grounds of Yerevan Zoo. The event is supported by the Prince Claus Fund for Culture and Development of the Netherlands. The participating artists are encouraged to perceive Yerevan Zoo in its current transitory period as an open space for their ideas and suggestions.
The aim of the art project is to involve artists as well as the visitors of the zoo in a creative process focused on animal welfare and the peaceful co-existence between man and animals. From mid September until mid of October the visitors of the zoo will have the unique chance to observe the ongoing art work and to discuss with the artists.
