The Bluebird Man

Thoreau understood the importance of passion as a driver of positive change in our environment. The bluebird, because of its brilliant blue color as well as its affinity for nesting in human built structures, has been a great inspiration for many passionate conservationists over the past several centuries. The bluebird represents a bridge between human society and the natural world. It is a species that in many areas has become dependent on people, but it also gives back, bringing great joy and becoming an essential component of many human communities.
