The Earth's land surface measures 149 million square kilometres – about three soccer fields per person. But how are we using this space? Everyone wants to go to the same nice places. So there it is getting really tight... The film shows the earth’s inhabitants in places wide and tight, and muses about their frequently strange behaviour.

Eckhard Kruse
Studied Computer science at the Technical University Braunschweig, Germany (and for one year in Pisa, Italy) and obtained a Ph.D. in the areas of robotics and computer vision. Since 2000 he lives in Heidelberg. He worked 8 years as project manager and subdepartment manager for industrial software technologies. Since September 2008 he is professor for Applied Computer Science at the Baden-Wurttemberg Cooperative State University. Since 2004, Eckhard Kruse has been making short films, doing the scriptwriting, directing, camera, editing, 3D-animation and music composition mostly by himself. His films have been screened at numerous festivals and received several awards.
